Château Fleur-Cardinale St.-Emilion Bordeaux 2015

Editorial Review by Snooth Editorial:

Savory earth, mushroom and notes of Tamari and baking spice - notes of ageing well, with soft cherry and raspberry fruit. Beautiful fruit here with elegant and silky mouthfeel, waves of cherry and raspberry coming first with some juicy acidity coming through on the mid palate, blueberry and plum fruit rising up towards the finish where the earth takes hold, with spice, earth and a touch of leather meet. 93 pts

This 2004 vintage is plum red in colour with deep intensity. Black berries, black currant, earth, cedar and spice. Well balanced. The flavours echo the nose. A medium long finish.

This wine is an excellent buy. It drinks well right out of the bottle and really opens up after an hour. Great fruit up front for a Bordeaux under $30. Well balanced tannins and very calm finish though not very long. I personally like a more fruity cab style Bordeaux and this one fits nicely

70% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc. Bittersweet chocolate with nice, full richness without being over the top. This is not a shy wine. Plenty of tannins, but very appropriate given the gobs of fruit. Terrific texture. Tasted three... John Sweeney. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Fleur Cardinale 6000ml

This wine has huge tannins that spread all across the palate. On the nose and palate a plethora of black fruits as well a hint of toasted sesame seed and vanilla. Very Nice. John Sweeney.
