Chateau Tanunda Shiraz 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Grand Barossa Shiraz epitomises the premium international reputation for Shiraz which has made the Barossa Valley famous. An intense and complex wine with berry fruit aromas, mild spicy notes combined with well integrated vanilla oak flavours. The typical restrained ‘Chateauness’ is our cellar style of earthiness and genuiness with long lingering flavours.

Rosemary and almond/amaretto on the nose, with paprika, vanilla, and suntan lotion. The mouth is kind of fudgy. Good body.

Sweet, big amaretto flavors. A super fruity wine, full of blackberry flavors. If you like fruitbombs this is a fairly good one.

Nose of After Eight mints leads to a strangely rich wine which feels and tastes like molten chocolate - very warm, rich and low acidity.

Stinky nose, with hints of pepper and coconut. Lots of chocolatey flavor, coconuts and bananas. Tastes like dessert.

Spicy but very low acidity, explosive bing cherry finish. Good earthy minerality for a $15 shiraz.
