1 Kilikanoon Shiraz the Lackey (2008)
Comments: Excellent balance of fruit with some acidity and earth to round it out. A little black pepper in the finish. Tastes like something MUCH more expensive!
Previously available for $14.99

2 Coorong Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon
Comments: This is a big boy! To say it's full bodied, well, this thing is a freakin' sumo wrestler of a wine. But the flavors are concentrated and pleasant. Chocolate, allspice, dark cherry, boysenberry, black currant, licorice, a hint of moss from the Cab. Probably great with a good short rib or beef stew dinner. Maybe ribs or a burger too.
Previously available for $40.43

3 Innocent Bystander Pinot Noir (2009)
Comments: A little acidic and tastes a bit underripe. Could use some age on it. There's an herbal note that might turn out OK in a couple of years. I wouldn't not finish the glass if poured for me though...
Average price: $19.99 from 1 store

4 Yalumba Shiraz Barossa Patchwork (2008)
Comments: Not a bad Shiraz. Definitely big and concentrated, but not a total fruit bomb. Has some interesting cedar and pie spice notes and a hint of moss from the Cab. Some grape soda-ish about it too.
Previously available for $16.99

5 Mcwilliam's Hanwood Estate Pinot Noir Pinot Noir (2008)
Comments: For a new world pinot, this is pretty well balanced between fruit and earth, but more dry than fruity. Dark cherry flavors with a hint of chocolate and coffee, decent tannins.
