1 Underwood Cellars Pinot Noir United States Oregon Willamette Valley Red (2010)
Comments: Surprisingly smooth Pinot at this price point, and a twist-top to boot! Lip-smacking cherry flavors, though not too fruity. Has an earthy balance, sort of a root beer finish. Great casual wine for gatherings.

2 Panther Creek Pinot Noir Willamette Valley (2006)
Comments: This was the 2007 vintage. Surprisingly more earthy and smoky than fruity. Originally thought it was corked, but the fruit began to emerge as it breathed. Wish the flavors had played a little nice together and been more rounded.

3 Cliff Creek Claret (2006)
Comments: Very lively and flavorful. Slightly toasty, but not overpowering with the vanilla notes. Tart black cherry with a decent acid balance. Great sipper on its own, but would also make a versatile food wine.
