Lots of red cherry and violet on the nose, mouthfeel is powerful. Still a little tight at five years, could cellar for another five easily. This would pair nice with filet mignon.

Gorgeous nose, the sweetness of merlot and cab franc come through. Mouthfeel is mellow and smooth, with light red fruit. Finish lingers.

First, this wine is mistagged as being from Uruguay, it's actually from the Ribera del Duero DOC of SPAIN. There was a strong cedar/juniper-like nose upon opening, which faded a lot after a couple of hours of decanting. There is nice fruitiness to the wine with a nice balance of tannins on the finish. It really does need time to breathe before drinking. 85 points.

Strong hint of smoke, black pepper, and blueberry on the nose, blueberry overwhelms on the mid-palate and finish. 87 points.

Typical tempranillo nose, fruit-forward with a hint of smoke, vanilla, and leather. Well-structured palate, black cherries. Medium tannins on the finish. This is a wonderful "sipper" and would serve as a great introduction for someone who has never tried tempranillo. Paired nicely with seasoned flank steak. Emilio Moro has another hit. 88 points.

Best Cab Sav I've had so far. And my wife would agree. Excellent dark fruit on the nose and palate, with a long smooth finish.

Excellent citrus nose with pear and peach on the palate. The Chardonnay mellows the typically floral finish of the Torrontés. A must-have summer sipper!

Excellent citrus on the nose. Pear and peach on the palate, the Chardonnay mellows the usual floral backend of the Torrentés. A superb value, and a must-have for summer sipping!

Wonderful cherry on the nose, light-bodied, cherry continues on the palate, transitions to strong thyme on the finish. The thyme almost overwhelms the fruit at first serving, but mellows somewhat as it sits and breathes.

Opened and drank an '05 in April '10. It was very refined, at what I would consider a near perfect age. Wonderful deep purple color, smooth, fruity palate, with a leathery, spicy finish that lingered with just the right amount of dryness. Paired with spaghetti.
