We had no expectations when our server suggested this wine with our dinner. He stated that the owner knew Mr. Lede and that this wine had become his favorite at this price point. Blindly we accepted the invitation and it was well worth it! My wife said mocha while I proclaimed deep berry as we took our first hint of its bouquet. On first taste the deeper sweetness of lite mocha and berries shown through all the way to a finish that was simple and very consistent with the Stags Leap cabs we enjoy. The waiter decanted this wine for nearly an hour and I'd recommend at least that.

We were surprised at the depth, taste structure and fullness of this wine given its price. While the bouquet is evidently traditional Chardonnay, the taste is fruit forward with a slimmer of oak throughout. My wife compared this to a $40-50 wine we recently tasted. At below $20 this is a bargain and one we'll be drinking again. Slice the cheese!

This lighter chardonnay's bouquet hints of light apples and a bit of grass, although this is subtle. The front is more significant than the bouquet mostly because it has a creamier quality. It follows with a crisp fruit that is mostly citric and finishes like a classic Chardonnay only a lighter version. It's a great food wine.

We have tasted a broad range of Maple Zinfandels over the years. This wine gets the award for the smoothest. While the berry fruit is very evident early, it calms to a very smooth finish. Neither boisterous or mellow, it drinks well with grilled red meat dishes.

This is a light and fruit forward wine that has enough depth to compliment a number of chicken, light pork and white seafood dishes. By itself, it's crispiness makes it a hit on a warm day. We like it because it seems to bridge Fume and Grigio drinkers - a great selection for a social gathering!

We were quite surprised when we first tasted this wine. The initial flavors combine a subtle tropical burst of fruit followed by a silky vanilla and a soft finish. At this price, we'll be buying more!

We drank this wine while vacationing in California recently. We each enjoy different types of white wines - from wooded chardonnay to fruity pinot grigio, our tastes vary. Yet, this Chablis won over the four of us. It has enough structure without overwhelming those who prefer a lighter wine. A light bittersweet entry to a long and mellowed finish this wine is excellent with lighter seafood and poultry. It's also one to drink on a warm summer's day!

We didn't expect such a full tasting zinfandel from FF. We love their smooth tasting cabernet, but this really surprised us. Someone said this wine evolves from the first hint of sweet berries to drier finish. We drank this with a roast beef dish and it was perfect! I would decant this wine to bring out its fullness.

As with all Fields Family wines, the Ladro is wonderful to drink. The bottle opens, airs, and is hard to put down. When I last served this at friend's wine tasting people kept coming back asking for more and wondering how I came upon it. From the nose to the finish, this wine is so balanced. It's range in pairings is wide. Not to fruity, and enough acid to really enjoy no matter the setting.

Surprisingly well balanced with a mellow fruitiness off the top that flattens at the finish with more spice. The aromas can lead to a different expectation of more fruit than really exists. Easy to drink.
