for this region?

Mudgee (Aboriginal for “nest in the hills”) is a wine region within the Central Ranges of the state of New South Wales in Australia. It is one of the oldest regions in the country with a history that dates back to the 1850s.

It is mostly hot and dry, but has a relatively late spring, and thus a much later harvest than its neighbor, Hunter Valley. The wines of the region are concentrated, rich and deep, made from Cabernet and Shiraz for reds and Chardonnay, Semillon and Viognier for whites.

  • Robert Oatley Pinot Grigio 2008

Wow this is intense and fruity on the nose with tropical aromas of pineapple and a hint of passion fruit floating over crisp green apple fruit. It smells a little candy like and has a bit of an acid tone to it. On entry its rich and packed with fruit, showing a hint of RS that balances out on the MP. Its a fruity style and well done as such but ... Read More
