Kamptal Wine

Named after the river Kamp, Kamptal is an important wine-producing sub-region in Austria’s Niederosterreich region. It’s best-known for its excellent Gruner Veltliners and Rieslings. The predominant soil types are loess, which is particularly known for producing great Gruner, and primary rock, renowned for creating elegant Riesling. Some top Kamptal growers are Schloss Gobelsburg, Brundlmayer, Hirsch, and Loimer.
