The most famous venture was the sparkling wine out of Crimea by Prince Lev Sergeyevich Golitsyn at Novyi Svet winery, which won the gold medal at the 1889 Paris Expedition. With thesuccess of “The People’s Champagne,” Golitsyn continued to study French viticultural methods to plant vineyards with European varietals along the Black Sea coast. Novyi Svet still exists as one of Russia’s most famous commercial wineries.

  • Fanagoria Author's Wine Cabernet-Tsimlyansky Black 2015

    Snoothrank:

Velvet-red color. Sweet dried fruit nose. Ripe black fruits at the beginning and fresh wide spice ending, ripe green apple with raspberries in aftertaste. I Recommend it with pasta and hard cheese. I would say, the price is too low for such a complicated wine.discussion on grape:http://www.snooth.com/talk/topic/how-to-add-a-new-grape/?utm_campai...
