Cheers Fine Wine and Spirits opened on July 15, 2005 as the result of the 2004 November election paving the way for package sales in Carrollton. The effort to bring spirits to the City of Carrollton was successfully attempted by Debbie and Harold Neal, the owners of “CHEERS FINE WINE AND SPIRITS.” The result is a beautiful brick two story building nestled in the heart of historic Carrollton. Cheers has a very knowledgeable and by far the friendliest staff in the South. Southern hospitality at its best! – Description from milana

  • I was wondering how many forum members plan to watch the Superbowl this Sunday (05 Feb 2017) and of that subset, will anyone be drinking beer instead of wine? Read More

  • Saw this story about Antonio Galloni leaving the Wine Advocate.  (I first saw it somewhere else, but this was the easiest one to link to today.)  I haven't got any particular sense of what Galloni likes, although one kind of assumes that Parker would hire someone somewhat in his own image if he was planning to turn over some of the areas Bob has... • I'm making a lasagne bolognese for a dinner party (the whole deal from scratch, including pasta) and I want to get an interesting Italian red to pair with it. I'd love to get a Barolo but the cost is a bit prohibitive...I'm like to keep it at about 15 a bottle or less. Also maybe a light Italian white to have with appetizers. Unfortunately I live... • I noticed that OutThere purchased seven bottles of a particular wine at $14 and it occurred to me that it was a $100 purchase, and enough to last about a week.  So I got curious, and mentioned in the thread that it would be interesting to know how much per week people spent.  Well, Emark has better records and more time on his hands than I do, a... • Everywhere I turn, I see people talking about 2010 in the Rhone (both north and south).  Lately, I've been on a mission to taste a lot of these wines and so far I've found some good, some bad and some that really would be better poured over pancakes.  In some cases, I've agreed with some of the wines being pushed by the "wine critic illuminati".... • I know there have been at least one or two conversations about buying wines at Costco, but I happened to catch the one hour documentary about Costco on CNBC, last night.  They actually spent a significant portion of the program (8-9 minutes) about wine sales.  Here is the thing that blew me away.  Apparently, annual wine sales at Costco exceed a... • I've recently discovered my interest in wine since turning 21, and I've been learning some of the lingo through this great site.  I'm about to graduate from college in May, and I hope to leave my days of Franzia and refrigerated Yellow Tail out of a solo cup behind.I have a lot to learn, but I just wanted some input from you on how to become a w... • Hi everyone, just found this site last night.  I'm a disillusioned attorney seriously considering a change in career.  As I love wine (and the food service industry as a whole), I'm curious what the training and career path looks like for a sommelier.  I've seen organizations that give exams for accreditation, but I'm thinking it requires some s... • Hey, I am fairly new to the wine world, newer to red wine. I am trying to get to know wine better, learning to taste the aromas and actually taste the wine instead of just swallowing.
