Orchard Valley Farms & Market and Black Bridge Winery are located in the rugged and pristine North Fork Valley of the Gunnison River near Paonia, Colorado – a place so beautiful our produce can't help but taste great! The 80-acre farm was established in 1976 as a grower-supplier for wholesale fruit packing houses in western Colorado. In 1997 we started growing grapes for Colorado's emerging wine scene, and in 2003, we launched Black Bridge Winery, making wines from grapes raised in our own vineyards here in the West Elks. Not only were our customers looking for fine wines, but also for locally grown produce, so we expanded to a full-fledged vegetable farm. We are sustainable growers offering a wide variety of fruits, berries, grapes, decorative gourds and vegetables in season here in our farm market. – Description from Dragac

  • MY FIRST VISIT TO BERN'S STEAKHOUSE - Tampa (4/8/2017)Like any true wine geek when I was informed of a trade show in Tampa my first thought was "I'm making reservations at Bern's." I have friends who live in Tampa about 3 min from the restaurant so we hooked up for a fun three top. Rachel came recommended as a Somm so I requested her in advance.... Read More

  • From our friends at TheWinebuzz.com : It's not over yet. Summer, that is.  Labor Day may be fast approaching, but the real end of summer isn't until September 22 - a full three weeks away. And one of the best things about late summer in this neck of the woods is the annual Taste of Little Italy, a benefit for the Montessori School at Holy Rosary... • I have been looking around for a while, and seeing name after name of white wines, but haven't got a clue of what is good/great/bad/ugly.  I am relatively new on the wine deal, and so is my girfriend.  It's her 21st Birthday, so I thought she'd like some white wine. Anyone that has some ideas of white wines in the $20-40 range, please let me know.  Read More
