    Snoothrank:

I bought three bottles of this wine for £14 from the website ... Limoux and ... Limoux and Cremant de Limoux.Domaine Begude makes still wines in this area and the L'Etoile cuvee made from the chardonnay grape is their flagship wine. I started a bottle last night with my fish and chip supper. It is a dry wine but not bone-dry and there is plenty... Read More

  • Château la Begude Gigondas 2005

    Snoothrank:

Pours a very deep purple, extremely heavy and after an initial sweetness on the tongue the savoury herbal quality of the wine takes over along with hints of tar, dark fruits, licquorice and pepper. This is the first Gigondas I have ever tasted so have no comparison to make with others but my initial reaction wasn't too impressed. Read More
