  • I noticed that OutThere purchased seven bottles of a particular wine at $14 and it occurred to me that it was a $100 purchase, and enough to last about a week.  So I got curious, and mentioned in the thread that it would be interesting to know how much per week people spent.  Well, Emark has better records and more time on his hands than I do, a... • I shop here quite often and have found the service/selection to be top notch. Employees are professional, real wine drinkers and not stuffy/wine snobs. It is very comfortable to shop here...almost too comfortable! Especially when the boys open up a bottle of something. Oh BTW the 2007 Poggio Arduini IS NOT $10.95, but is $5.99 like every...

  • The 2007 Poggio Arduini Montepulciano D'Abruzzo costs $10.95 at this store...and is readily available elsewhere for $5.99 elsewhere in Connecticut. Nice markup if you can get it!!!

The event is conducted by the SAQ; Quebec’s provincial wine and spirits monopoly.  I was delighted with many of the wonderful tastings, but one stood out as a real surprise. Among the tastings of classified Bordeaux, and Vintage Champagne, we enjoyed several wine... Read More

  • I bought a 2001 vintage Shiraz, Heavens Gate, 2 weeks ago. I opened it the night I got it and the wine was pretty much tight. There was not much on the nose and or the pallet. It was quite meaty oriented with what pallet it had. I vacu-sealed it and put it in my wine cellar. Just the other night I pulled it out popped the seal heard the great, p... Read More
