We've spent years enjoying what has been called, "The nectar of the Gods". After growing up and working for several years in the Bay Area, we decided it was time to put our energies behind our passion: WINE. We wanted to offer a "Complete Wine Experience" that is unique – exciting and informative in a relaxed atmosphere. We felt a neighborhood wine shop offering a focus on high quality, good value boutique wines combined with a winery style tasting room and a full compliment of services would allow us to do so. We feel privileged to have the opportunity to share our passion for wine and the enjoyment we draw from it. We look forward to inspiring similar passion in our customers. SALUTE!!!! – Description from AlexJelena

  • Hi all,Just want to introduce myself. I have recently started taking an interest in wine and have come to the point where I want to start learning more about it. • Due to popular demand (don't ask where that demand came from or you'll spoil my fun), we appear to need some new wine discussion topics.  This topic was only relevant to Thursday as a test case but was subsequently expanded to cover the weekend too.  What ever you bring up in this topic should either occur on a Thursday - Sunday, or it could be ... • Red blends. It’s a term that has been bandied about quite liberally over the past several years, commonly referring to 'kitchen sink' wines that are overtly fruity and sweet enough to need their own category in which to hide. But there is also a need for a broad, overarching category to cover red wine blends that are emerging around the world, b... • OK, just had to spew my cajun dirty rice with Rosso di Montepulciano out my nose when I saw this price list from HDH. Several items here literally were my dailies last decade and the one before it (Caymus, Shafer, Far Niente, Blackbird, Araujo, Verite, Aubert, Hanzell, DuMol, even Dominus--the only ones not particuarly were the Bryant and the Ha... • Greg I'm going by memory here, but I might want to discuss some of the history that you mentioned above.  back in the 1970s, people like Mondavi taught Americans to buy wine by grape variety.  That statement has a lot of validity to it if you concentrate on the word "taught."  However, I would not want people to think that varietal bottlings of ... • Liver what? It’s that great wine region you’ve never heard of. Less than an hour from San Francisco. A growing wine scene based on a century and a half of history. Great climate, friendly people, tasting rooms that are not filled to capacity with people you don’t want to be rubbing shoulders with. You know, one of those regions that is truly up ... Read More
