  • Zuf, congrats on finding the new abode. Sorry about the passing of your Mother, ... ribs and thought this 2012 Priorat might pair nicely.  Their website says the current vintage is 40% Carinyena, 40% Garnatxa and 20% Merlot/Syrah.  This is not a shy wine with a lot of dark fruit, ripe plums, black pepper, medium plus tannins, decent acidity and... • Lately I've been interested in learning more about CA regions other than ... ... ringers for the wines of Priorat - high acidity combined with full ripeness. I'm going to try some more this week but those are the best versions of Spanish grapes I've had yet.Haven't given up anything else obviously, but it's fun to discover places right under m... • Gosh.  $22 is a bargain for Priorat.  Good job.So look for Montsant. It surrounds Priorat like a donut and part of it has exactly the same soil types but it was kept out of the DO when the lines were drawn. Some good values for the same grapes and some of the same producers.Had a few wines from Moldova the other day but no pics. And Uruguay. Ton... Read More
