  • Gigondas 2010

Domaine de la Soumade:young and promising, typical Côtes-du-Rhône. The wineyard is very well exposed, so this wine is much better than 'normal' Gigondas. Suits very well to mediterraen/Provence kitchen: tomatoes, garlic, herbs of Provence. Meat: lamb, pork, beef. I loved it! Read More

  • Château Rochebelle Red Bordeaux Blend St. Émilion 1995

Four bottle on a trip to Bordeaux in 2008. Two of the 1995 and two of the 2006. Classic St-Emilion -- "wet", round, with nice acidity. Drank the last bottle last week. Good but not amazing, but bought at wineyard so it was money well spent at 13 Euros. Have expectations of the 2006. Read More
