Hello Candy,

if you search the retailers on the 1985 Mouton page you'll see that there are 3 retailers in Hong Kong carrying the wine. Your best bet would be to contact them and see who currently imports this wine to China.

Just to add a welcome to a new visitor, and a comment on the irony of opportunity to point out a part of the realism in the wine market- and now more than ever I mean the GLOBAL wine market- that exists at this very moment.

Amidst recession and the absolutely, physical necessity of the price of the most premier of wines from the greatest of regions produced from the finest of years...

Hiya China :).

While "Screagle" remains the uber-vino of the seemingly brand new Chinese premier wine market, this has been a growing trend in the market for over three years.

Amidst any other reason to be conjured by anyone you may ask (2005 Bordeaux, great years in Cali, Burgundy, Italy ('01 & '03 especiall for the Supers) and a brilliant influx of new premier-cru type items from everywhere between Cape Horn and Woodinville: the influx of the Chinese interest in premium wines has been the single most powerful force to impact ALL premium wine sales in the past five years now... and going strong.

It's to the point of skewing one's sense of what a recession actually IS should they know about fine wines versus the cost of a loaf of bread...

...And of course there's lot #1177 over at Morrell's Fine Wine Auctions:

Château Mouton-Rothschild - Vintage 1983
Pauillac, Premier Cru Classé
Level is high shoulder. Label is bin soiled. Capsule is slightly corroded.
1 Bottle

Château Mouton-Rothschild - Vintage 1985
Pauillac, Premier Cru Classé
Level is very high shoulder. Label is wet stained. Capsule is corroded.
1 Bottle

"The rich, complex, well-developed bouquet of oriental spices, toasty oak, herbs, and ripe fruit is wonderful. On the palate, the wine is also rich, forward, long, and sexy. It ranks behind both Haut-Brion and Chateau Margaux in 1985. I am surprised by how evolved and ready to drink this wine is. Readers looking for a big, boldly constructed Mouton should search out other vintages, as this is a tame, forward, medium-weight wine that is close to full maturity. It is capable of lasting another 15+ years. This estate compares their 1985 to their 1959, but to me it is more akin to their 1962 or 1953." 90 points, RMP.

Château Mouton-Rothschild - Vintage 1987

Château Mouton-Rothschild - Vintage 1997

That's one at least. Good starting point.

GDP, man, I'm telling you- there's something to Juice on the Block.

Good evening :)
