Introduce Yourself

Snooth User: Nina Syr

Hello again!

Posted by Nina Syr, Mar 28, 2012.

I introduced myself a while ago, but I was to shy. here are people much more experienced!

Since then I learned a little more about whine, tasted more. So now it is even more interesting to read articles in Sooth and forums here.

I like tasting new wines, finding food pairings for it.

Hello everybody!;0)

Hello, Nina and welcome! Please throw any questions you want at us--you'll find people here very helpful about answering.

What are you drinking these days?

Hello, Nina.  Welcome (back?).  Please do not be shy.  Most of the participants here on the Forum are very eager to meet new fellow comrades-in-wine.  You are right in that there are people here who have a lot of experience, but, seriously, the reason they participate here is not because they want to pontificate and show off.  Rather, they want to learn more.  I have been drinking wine (recreationally, not profesionally) for over 40 years, but that says more about my age than my wine knowledge.  Every day I learn here at Snooth.  I am with you in that the more I learn, the more I enjoy the articles and the Forum conversations (and GDP's videos).

Also like you I very much enjoy food and wine pairings.  If you look over at the Forum thread on Sauternes, you can read one of my favorites.  Another pairing that I truly love is Cabernet Sauvignon with Rack of Lamb.  What favorites do you have?

dmcker  Thank you very much! First I want to start writing reveiws, like I do in my blog

but I kind of lost here and can't find how to start, silly me!

My favourites are Italian wines, but I also like Bordeaux from right bank area.

Hello EMark, I love Sauternes, I would gladly read yiur article! thank you!

I love lamb! I would prefer Barbera D'Alba or Shiraz. I know that Cab Sauv. is a classic but I always like to try something new!;0)
