I have just returned from a trip away to the Channel Islands. While there I took a boat ride out to the island of Sark. This is only about 3 miles long and there are no cars or coaches so the guided tour is by horse and carriage. It is a very pretty and interesting place with nice views and has some lovely walks. I mention this on our forum because wine production has recently been started there,so recently that there is,as yet, none for sale although there are fields of vines to be seen.Apparently the billionare Barclay brothers are behind this.I was unable to find out what sort of wine is going to be made. There is already one winery on the Channel Islands, the La Mare estate on Jersey, which I visited a while ago and bought a couple of bottles which I reviewed on here

Sounds interesting, definitely something new. Would be great if you could get a bottle or more when they become available and post your impressions then. Cheers
