Wine Deals ...

Posted by John Andrews, Dec 17, 2008.

Seeing as how there are a ton of wine deals that seem to be happening these days I thought it would be good to post a topic that helps us keep track of them.

Feel free to post deals here, links to deals here and your experiences.

To get the thread started I'm going to link in a couple of snooth posts:

Also check out as they have 0.01 shipping often.

Value. I recently purchased at less than $ 10 a bottle a wine from Spain that I loved. Las Rocas de San Alejandro. Exceptional wine at a great price.

That is a killer deal on a great bottle of wine.

I've already posted it on my page:

and on the Wine Deals page:

but thought I would add it here as well. We are having a 5 cent shipping deal on all wine shipped directly from the winery to anywhere in the US throughout the month of June. This deal begins on Monday and runs through the entire month, but only applies to wine ordered directly from the winery. So, tell your friends and check out the pages listed above and see if we have anything that might interest you.

This is an old post, but wanted to mention, that at least here in California, wine deals are in abundance as a result of the horrid economy. Many wineries and distributors are selling off great wines to discount stores.

Recent deals that I enjoy:

Grocery Store Outlet, Northern California, has recently gotten some "decent" wines in.

I have bought- 2003 Juslyn Vineyards Napa Cabernet Sauvignon; online price ~$70, paid $29.99.

2006 "Imagine" Chalk Hill Vineyards Sonoma Chardonnay, retails for ~$20, paid $9.99

1997 (yes, 1997!) Bighorn Cellars Coombsville Vineyard Napa Cabernet Sauvignon- retails for ~$25 now, paid $5.99!!

I personally love all three of these and they are a great deal. I have bought multiple cases of the cabs...

Hondajohn you mentioned something delightful...LA GRANDE DAME..
I could not help but notice !

I last drank it with my Mother-in-law on her death-bed.
Sad, but oh!... so memorable.
I also wrote her a poem titled...LA GRANDE DAME.

Thanks for the memory. CHEERS!
