Of the people active on this Forum who are not actually living in Italy, Greg DP would seem to be the one best qualified to answer this question. Let's see if the Italian contingent can also step up here....

really want to visit some representative ones and will sum up a report for a food magazine in Hong Kong. I am also asking the help from Italian trade commission indeed.

Of course, any good sharing will help me a lots.

Ceretto is gorgeous - has a glass dome adjoining the tasting room overlooking the valley.

Have been confirmed by the Ceretto and Gaja. Both are my favourites.

Giacomo Conterno only tastes wines from barrel in the Spring, so while you can visit your tasting options may be limited.

Aldo Conterno should not be a problem.

Bruno Giacosa can be difficult.

How many days will you be there? I can suggest several other worthy visits.

Hi Greg, thanks for your advise. Tentatively, I will arrive Milan on 10 Nov and stay 5- 6 days in Piemont. Then, around three days in Tuscany. Your suggestion for wineries will be much appreciated.

I will be in Rome for the month of September. Can make it to Tuscany after the 20th, for a day maybe two. I am a lover of Brunello di Montalcino. Can someone give me the name one winery to visit, that will change my life forever!

I am traveling to Italy for my honeymoon in late September thru early October.  We are going to be in Tuscany for  3-4 days.  Does anyone have a suggestion of places to stay, B&B we're thinking..... Furthermore,  wine tour or set out on your own? (We don't have a car/don't want to drink and drive).  Any help would be more than appreciated.  Thanks!

MiamiWino - not sure if I can do that, but try Le ragnaie. Tell them I sent you.

sfinazzo, you should check out the articles I wrote last year about my travels to Tuscany.

Links to the other parts of the article can be found on the last page.

Where were you planning on visiting?
