Bodegas & Viñedos Maurodos Prima Toro 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Prima is sourced from the younger vines. Aged for 12 months, it is structured but easy-drinking with polished taninns and sublte oak. Prima is a modern Toro, fruity and civilized for all palates.

2009 Vintage - Opaque black plum hue with aromas of black fruits, cedar and toast; flavor notes of concentrated blackberries, cassis and spice box over a firm, long finish. Nice wine value.

Three glasses

Tasting Notes:

With ripeness being easy to accomplish in Toro (particularly in 2009), it’s balance that is the hallmark of a great Toro producer. The Prima 2009 showcases its richness like a ballerina. Hints of toastiness linger, but it’s the vibrant fruit that carries the day. Drink now or in the next several years.
