Bread & Butter Pinot Noir 2013

Member Review by puhnner:

A Lot 18 Quarterly Selection. Terrific Bottle of Wine, well balanced. Cherry and Chocolate nose and taste. Long, long, finish of chocolate/cedar/earth/sage/spice with a bare hint of mint. A mouthful, smooth, soft, and medium bodied and much too easy to drink. Worked well with food- but then, perhaps all in all just too simple or then maybe it is the type of wine that I can think to myself, 'wow, I would love a glass of the B&B Pinot tonight, what can fix to go with it??? A perfect example, to me, of wines made to drink immediately, cannot imagine any aging potential for this one...so keep pouring and bottoms up. This bit about the winery from 'Heights Chateau' website says it all: '...This Napa Valley producer makes only three varietals: Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Noir. The inspiration for their wines lies in the kind of wines people are interested in drinking on an everyday basis . . . "your go-to wines, your automatics, your bread and butter" as they put it.'
