Byron Chardonnay Santa Barbara County 2013

Winemaker's Notes:

90 points Jeb Dunnuck (Wine Advocate): A smoking value that's made in serious quantities, the 2013 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County has classic stone fruits, white peach, white flowers and classy oak/vanilla notes in a medium-bodied, supple, elegant and fruit-forward style. Fermented and aged half in tank and half in neutral barrel, it's a no-brainer Chardonnay to enjoy over the coming couple of years. (Aug 2015)

Today, Byron is focused on single vineyard and regional bottlings of Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from the best benchland sites throughout Santa Barbara County. Read less

Medium intensity aromas of lemon, pear, and toast. Crisp apple flavors show first on the palate, with tangerine, pineapple and lemon following behind. Smooth and clean, it's definitely a dry wine but with some perceived sweetness because of the fresh acidity, warm climate fruit and the vanilla notes of the oak.
