Château Briot Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend Bordeaux Contrôlée Reserve 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

In 1858, the Ducourt family settled in the little hamlet of LE HOUC, in the village of Ladaux. Le Houc, which means, in the old South West regional dialect, the “oven”. It was a very important place for the village in the Middle Age, for the bread cooking. At that time, the estate was only 9 hectares. When Henri Ducourt took over the domain in 1951, it was the beginning of a new era for the Ducourt estate. With its 3 children (Bernard, Marie-Christine and Philippe) he developped the domain, and change a traditional vineyard into the second largest privately owned estate of the Bordeaux region.

Four glasses

Tasting Notes:

A nice pale straw color with green hues. The nose is fresh, pure and typical with floral and citrus aromas. In mouth, it starts with an elegant and rich entry, the wine is well structured and end in a lingering finish.
