Château Grand Bert St. Émilion 2005

Member Review by dedesan:

Chateau Grand Bert isn't really what one can expect from St Emilion wine. The simple and single taste, strong but almost artificial flavors are exactly what wine lover cannot accept from Bordeaux wine. I had a bottle of Chateau Grand Bert 2006 last evening with some friends and my head still remember me this morning that I shouldn't have got this wine. If you really like St Emilion, rather stick to true one's and avoid Chateau Grand Bert.

Tasting Notes:

A blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet. Opens with a fruity nose with spicy, toasty notes. Ripe tannins and a fruit-filled finish. Recommended to pair with red meat, game, or goat cheese.
