Chateau Greysac Medoc France Premier 2007

Standing on the gravel hummocks of the hamlet of By, Château Greysac has developed immensely in the last thirty years. Its wines are a faithful reflection of this great terroir - delicate, aromatic and ample, as well as elegant and complex.
Editorial Reviews for Chateau Greysac Medoc France Premier
Treebark, blackberry jam and a touch of woodsy spice on the nose – a bit extracted feeling, hard tannins, not enough flesh, some fruit, quite savory and a touch minty (83-84)
Tight on the nose with notes of raw nuts, fresh oak, and leafy black currant fruit topped with a touch of cigar smoke and tomato leaf. Fresh on the palate, but lacks a bit of depth and flavor on the mid palate. The balance of flavors is attractive, offering up notes of earth, forest floor, black currants, lightly dried herbs and a bit of milky wood on the back end, but lacks some intensity. The finish is short and mostly toasty with some licorice notes. 82pts

Add your reviewGreat bang for your buck! Old world in typical bordeaux style without as much complexity as the higher end Bordeauxs. Little fruit present but a hint of black cherry. Mature tannins with a long oakey finish. Good with flank steak or fiatas.
