Château Suduiraut Sauternes 2018

External Review:

Serious finish to this young Sauternes with honey caramel and dried-fruit character. Full body long finish. Medium sweet. I love the dry spicy botrytis character to this. Tangy. Excellent indeed. James Suckling.

Superlively with orange blossom white cherry pineapple apricot and peach flavors all bouncing off one another. The long piecrust-framed finish lets it all hang together nicely.-J.M. Wine Spectator.

Lime and honey on the nose with a touch of grapefruit. Good balance and definition on the palate with notes of pineapple/marmalade and quince. Balanced with good levels of botrytis. A fine Sauternes though surpassed by other vintages. Tasted May 2000. Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.

Medium yellow. Superripe honeyed aromas of exotic fruits. Concentrated and fairly unctuous with lovely peach and spice flavors shaped by ripe acids. Youthful solidly structured and firm. Finishes with a flavor of apricot liqueur and a suggestion of oak tannins. Like the Coutet this is stronger than it appeared to be from barrel last spring. 91(+?) Stephen Tanzers IWC.

Bright gold. Pretty simple on the nose. Very big and barley sugar on the palate. You couldn t fail to like this even if it not one of the subtlest. Chewy end. Jancis Robinson.

Slight SO2 and a whiff of licorice on the nose. Fat oaky and moderately thick; fairly sweet but doesn t offer the shape or depth of flavor of the 97. The finish though is ripe honeyed and long. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
