Christian Moueix St. Estephe 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

This 2006 St. Estephe is a perfect drink now example of 2006 Bordeaux. Selected by our good friend Christain Moueix, the man behind some of Bordeaux's most legendary estates (Petrus) this amazing St. Estephe comes from some of the best vineyard sources of the commune. We can't tell you from where but these are some of the most historic vineyards of Bordeaux and are currently managed by one of Bordeauxs Living Legends that has always been a very special friend to Zachys."There's a solid core of berry and chocolate character on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, with round tannins and a medium finish. Needs time..." WS 3/09 "Black ruby. A classically proportioned St. Estephe with attractive cassis and cherry flavors set off by notes of moss and oak. The wine's baby fat creates a soft texture in the mouth, but there is structure and a keen density to this medium-bodied and well priced St. Estephe. 13% alc. Drink now-2013..." SWJ 7/09
