Domaine de Terrebrune Bandol 2002

Member Review by duncan 906:

I bought this bottle of wine from the website www.bidforwine.co.uk/auctions/show/131445 for £22.Bandol is an appellation created in 1941,although there has been viticulture here since before the Romans, for red, white and rose wines from 8 communes around the Medierraen seaside village of that name between Toulon and Marseilles. Domaine de Terrebrune is a family concern in this area. My bottle is 85% mourverde and the rest cinsault and grenache and spent 18 months in oak barrels.I started the bottle last night with my pork chop,This is a full bodied and well structured wine. There is plenty of a fresh blackcurrant and cherry style fruit with a hint of vanilla,In short, this is an absolutely beautiful wine that went well with my pork chop and is easily the best Bandol I have tasted
