Domaine Dujac Chambolle-Musigny 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

89-90+ points John Gilman (View From the Cellar): The 2009 Chambolle AC from the domaine is a ripe and generous on the attack, but also offers up good underlying structure for mid-term aging. The bouquet delivers a lovely mélange of red and black cherries, a touch of chocolate, fresh herb tones, a hint of gamebird and a fine base of soil. On the palate the wine is fullish, deep and really very plush on the attack, with a fine core of fruit, moderate tannins and a long finish that has not yet snapped back into focus after its recent racking. The raw materials here are exemplary, and I have been drinking this wine by the case since the 1998 vintage, so I have complete faith that this will be an outstanding village wine once it settles back in from its racking. 2015-2035. (Nov/Dec 2010)
