Faiveley Nuits St Georges les Porets St Georges Pinot Noir Wine 2011

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

A more deeply pitched and notably more complex nose that offers up notes of red and dark berries sauvage nuances underbrush and a hint of spice all trimmed in just enough oak to notice. There is very solid mid-palate concentration to the larger-scaled flavors that possess an admirable amount of structure-buffering dry extract before culminating in an energetic balanced complex and impressively long finish that displays only mild rusticity. This is excellent indeed it s one the better vintages that I have seen for this wine. Recommended. - Comments: Outstanding Burghound.

Good bright dark red. Pure aromas of rose petal and exotic Middle Eastern spices. Juicy and on the cool side showing a distinctly incisive character and excellent lift to the perfumed red berry and mineral flavors. Still quite tightly wound and restrained. The impression of tactile minerality carries through to the aromatic long finish. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
