Finca Flichman 'Caballero de la Cepa' Malbec 2014

Winemaker's Notes:

*SALLY EASTON MASTER OF WINE REVIEW* "Big juicy mulberries on the palate. Sweet tannin, succulent fruits. Juicy, straight, Argentine black malbec at excellent value." - Sally Easton MW, November 2016 Winemaker Luis Cabral de Almeida asserts that Flichman is all about "Attitude with Altitude", which is why the winery is enjoying such success today. Unique to Flichman is the specific location of the Barrancas estate at 700 metres above sea level. Deep ruby red with purple tints. Complex aromas of violets, cherries and sour cherries in oak, with concentrated black berry fruits, ripe plums and tobacco on the palate. The finish is particularly fine and long, with smooth, ripe tannins and rich fruit flavours. An ideal accompaniment to pasta with spicy tomato sauce, beef stew and Camembert. Drink over the next 2-5 years.
