Finca Flichman 'Caballero de la Cepa' Syrah 2012

Winemaker's Notes:

'Attitude with Altitude' is how winemaker Luis Cabral describes his wines. The grapes for Finca Flichman's 'Caballero de la Cepa' Syrah come from stony vineyards located between 700m and 1100m above sea level in the Mendoza region. The terroir is ideally suited to this powerful, full-bodied style of Syrah. Maturation in French and American oak barrels for 10 months adds texture and spice. Deep purple-red in colour with sweetly spiced berry fruits, raspberry and black cherry on the nose. Smooth on the palate with notes of spicy berries, black olive and blackberry, with ripe tannins and a long, well-delineated finish. Great with spicy pasta dishes or warming stews.
