Forest Glen White Merlot 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

Forest Glen White Merlot begins with a brilliant hue of reddish-pink. The aroma is reminiscent of fresh-cut watermelon, but the taste is cold raspberries and cream. The wine finishes with a slightly sweet balance and is at its best when chilled.

Forest Glen Winery:
Forest Glen wines have been produced in Geyserville in Sonoma County, California since 1990. Their wines are produced to be consumed young, without the need for further bottle aging. According to the Noble Estates website, the wines are “100% barrel aged.” We’re not sure what that means either, but consumers have remarked on the toasty, smooth flavors.

Ripe flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant and cassisexplode on the palate. The texture is velvety and juicy with a nice, lingering finish. Ready to be enjoyed without further bottle aging.
