Winemaker's Notes:
The grapes for our our "S" wines grow on pure weathered volcanic soils and basaltic rock on the Kaiserstuhl mountains. These specially selected soils have amazing veins of limestone running through them and are unique in Europe, giving our wines their particular minerality and structure. When producing the wines, we are careful to ensure that every year only the best and most concentrated grapes are harvested from the volcanic soils. The wines then mature in oak casks.
