Gaetano d'Aquino Sangiovese di Toscana 2012

Member Review by laebrown:

$ for $, best Chianti I've ever bought - only $5 at Trader Joe's. Paired with dark chocolate (sea salt & almonds). An extremely drinkable wine - very easy to get lost in it. Deep, rich palate, fruity flavor, very mild finish. Little to no acidity, strawberry jam nose. A great drinking wine, I would definitely bring this out at a party.

Rustic ruby hue, aromas of dark stone fruits, tea and dried oranges; flavor notes of dried plums, cherries, orange rind and meat roast, with fine tannins integrated to a moderately long finish. Definitely open well before service to expose its personality. A good Chianti value.

Not the best Chianti, but definitely a good one. It's rather cost effective, about seven dollars (american) and at that price it really holds it's weight. Though there is a slight sharpness, it's bold flavor and aroma are its saving points.
