Grivault Domaine Albert Pommard le Clos Blanc Pinot Noir Wine 2009

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

A solid even square style showing an iron cast to its cherry and red berry notes. The tannins are on the drying astringent side yet there s still plenty of fruit up front. Be patient. Best from 2015 through 2025. 10 cases imported. - BS Wine Spectator.

Light ruby and garnet hues shine in the glass. A welcoming bouquet of spiced fruit intertwines with a healthy dose of savory spice and dusty earth notes before leading into rich aromas of strawberry and tea. Notes of cherry sage and pomegranate emerge on the palate while pleasing acidity accentuates the mouth-coating fruit. The finish is soft with round tannins that melt away completing this delightful 2006. Enjoy now and over the next couple of years. Jeff Loo.

The light ruby hue on this garnet colored 2006 shines in the glass. A welcoming aroma of spiced fruit mixed with a healthy dose of spice and dusty earth notes leading to a big hit of strawberry and tea that soon become the focus. The palate has pleasing acidity that works with the flavors that coat the palate. Notes of cherry sage and pomegranate complete this rather easy drinking 2006. The finish is soft with round tannins that just melt away. Drink this over the next couple of years. Jeff Loo.
