Henry Estate Barrell Select Umpqua Valley Oregon 2001

External Review by Morrell & Company:

It isn't often that you will see a 2001 Pinot on the market these days, and finding one for this price with this quality is completely unheard of! Henry Estate holds its Pinot Noir back from market up to two years longer than most wineries to ensure proper balance and character, which they are known for. Individual barrels are selected through rigorous blind tastings for specific components and then blended to produce a Pinot Noir of great body and complexity. Aromas of cherry and rose petal mingle with earthy notes. Rich, ripe fruit with spicy nuances leads to a structured midpalate and a long round finish. An absolute must buy Pinot.
