Wonderful wine. Just let this one decant for a few hours before imbibing. Inviting, dark colour. Great nose, almost like chocolate or cocoa. Excellent mid palate. Big, big fruit here. Like a fruit burst of candy but balanced off with nice leathery spice.

91 WA Typical Aussie shiraz. Medium to full bodied, loud, jammy, sumptious.

This wine is a bit too heavy for me. Eventually it hit the spot because I needed a drink, but I prefer a lighter red wine for sipping.

Bright and crisp, with a light, open-weave feel to the plum and spice flavors, lingering effectively on the lively finish. Drink now through 2011.

Spicy and bursting with fruit, the Jip Jip Rocks Shiraz is the quintessential representation of Australia's signature varietal. Medium-bodied and juicy, this wine is loaded with cranberry, black raspberry and cracked white pepper flavors - a perfect match for anything thrown on the barbie!

Deep purple in color with aromas of smoke, bacon and blueberries. Delicious blueberry and blackberry fruit flavors, are followed by wonderfully lush tannins. The wine has great structure and balance. Enjoy this wine now with food or with friends.

Dense purple. Jammy scents of dark berries, candied licorice, tar and roasted coffee. Rich and thick to the point of sweetness, but the blackberry and cassis flavors are propped up and kept fresh by gentle acidity. A rich, thick, velvety wine with a long, clinging finish that emphasizes blackberry and blueberry jam. A good version of this style.

Dark ruby. Jammy raspberry and blueberry aromas are complicated by smoked meat and licorice. Fleshy, slightly sweet dark fruit compote flavors stain the palate, gaining in sweetness on the back end. Finishes soft, with lingering sweetness and gentle grip. Lots of wine here but I'd have liked a bit more vivacity.

The 2004 Shiraz Limestone Coast reveals good cassis and blackberry notes, but is oakier, lighter, and more monolithic than the 2005.
