Ken Wright Guadalupe Pinot Ken Wright Winery Bottle Size Premier 5 2 In Stock 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

93 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): Bright medium red. Sexy aromas of raspberry, potpourri, Asian spices and anise. Silky, pure and elegant, with a pliant texture to its complex red berry, floral and spicecake flavors. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins and lingering sweetness. Showing really well today. Wright owns this vineyard, which was planted in 2000 to the Pommard clone and Dijon clones 777 and 115. He says that it's usually the most floral of his wines because of the sedimentary soils. (Jul/Aug 2010) Approximately 400 cases produced.

With a clarity and breadth that is unequaled by other varieties, we believe Pinot noir best expresses the character of these sites. Rather than stamping wine with a varietal trademark, we see Pinot noir as a vehicle for conveying the aroma, flavor and texture of the location in which it is grown. We also have a place in our hearts for the limited production of two white wines, Chardonnay from Celilo Vineyard near White Salmon, Washington, and Pinot Blanc from Freedom Hill Vineyard. Read less
