La Buena Vida Vineyards la Bodega Chardonnay 2009

Member Review by Tyler Worth:

87 points. The aroma is full of melon and fig components. There is a strong, ripe stone fruit tone, some nice minerality. It’s crisp and there is a nice greenness to it that is almost somewhat grassy. There is a gentle oiliness on the palate, with ripe flavors of melon and peach, balanced nicely with limestone minerality. The peach flavors come through very strongly and mingle with perfumed tones of jasmine into the finish, which reminds me of agave nectar. This is a pretty nicely done wine. It’s smooth and there is a delicate, apple-like acidity. The minerality adds an extra depth to the flavor profile, and the very subtle creamy, nectar finish is impressive. A solid Chardonnay for the price, and a Lone Star wine worth trying. Source: What's Worth Drinking: http://whatsworthdrinking.com/2010/07/16/post-43-lone-star-chardonnay/
