La Croix de Beaucaillou Red Bordeaux Blend St. Julien 2007

Winemaker's Notes:

Lots of fresh berry and blackberry aromas, with vanilla undertones. Full-bodied, with a solid core of fruit and ripe tannins and a long, caressing finish. Tight and structured, building on the palate.

95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot. 67% new oak. This second wine of Ducru Beaucaillou is better than a lot of the Grand Vins I tasted in 2007. Dark ruby red core with a lighter red rim. Uplifting nose of crushed roses, subtle chocolate, and a tad of ... Alex Lallos. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2007 La Croix de Beaucaillou 750ml

Good silky tannins, medium fruit and a light finish. A bit tight right now, but I like the texture. Second wine of Ducru.
