Le Clos Cotes du Roussillon Domaine Boudau 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

Just to the south of the border with Corbières, Le Clos is vinifedtraditionally and does not see oak; instead it is a perfect expression of ripeold vine Grenache with 20% of Syrah added to lend a pleasing mineral grip tothe rich palate, where black cherries and damsons predominate. A classicexample of a Roussillon wine and will accompany spicy sausages or a haunch ofvenison with no little relish! It is a mystery to me why Roussillon is so farbehind Languedoc in terms of perception in the UK. Hopefully this excellentexample will help to redress the balance! (Simon Field, MW, BBR Buyer)
