Masi Campofiorin Ripasso Veneto Red 2005

The Boscaini family have been the owners of the Masi vineyards for six generations. Sandro Boscaini is the company president. The other members of the family involved are Sandro's children: Alessandra and Raffaele, and his brothers: Bruno who looks after the production processes, and Mario who is a sleeping partner in the company.

Add your reviewAn interesting grape, entirely new to me. Had a glass with dinner out, a crepes cordon bleu casserole it was called, but in the end tasted something like lasagna with a good deal of broiler char. So this Italian seemed like a good choice, but the wine seemed sugary and light. It worked well with the tomato, asparagus, not as much with the salty flavors. Despite my taste for it, still it seems like a good summer red, with food or not.
Meh, relatively lighter than other ripasso's, fruity, simple. Not what I was looking for.
