Moët and Chandon Brut Rosé Champagne Impérial 2013

Editorial Review by Snooth Editorial:

Light and lively strawberry cranberry and cherry fruit aromas are framed by a bit of toast. Festive and smooth, this brings a delightful, delicate mouthfeel and more ripe strawberry notes, pink grapefruit and citrus pith with a creamy finish that delivers more tart cranberry and an herbal undernote.

Moet & Chandon is one of the most well-known luxury champagne producers in the word. With over 2,500 acres of vineyards and an annual champagne production of 26,000,000 bottles, Moet & Chandon lives, breathes, and, of course, drinks champagne. The House of Moet was founded in 1743 by Claude Moet, but it wasn’t until his grandson, Jean-Remy Moet, took over that the company really took off and became an international luxury brand. Jean-Remy Moet strove to bring the pleasure of champagne to everyone he could, forming partnerships with both French and international clients on a regular basis. When Jean-Remy Moet sold the House of Moet to his son Victor Moet and his son-in-law Pierre-Gabriel Chandon in 1833, the ensuing partnership formed Moet & Chandon. Shortly after the new branding, in 1842, Moet & Chandon released its first vintage champagne, leading the way to even higher-quality champagne. In 1921, they produced their first prestige cuvée under the brand Dom Pérignon, named after a Benedictine monk who was an important pioneer for champagne. The first vintage released for sale was in 1936, and today it is managed by winemaker Richard Geoffroy. Read less

Deep strawberry and and cherry aromas with a clean note of cherry blossom. Austere and elegant with tart sour cherry, mixed spice and pink grapefruit, finishing clean and light with a note of watermelon and light tannin. Clean and fresh.

rich gold with fairly fine beads, mild nose, and rather sweet on the palate, as if the grapes were harvested late. an easy champagne

Good price point for a little sweetness, but not overly cloying. Recommend for not too dry/not too sweet lovers. I think this is a perfect fit for everyone, regardless of the dry/sweet preference identified. Light white fruit-peach/honey overtones.

Yeasty scent, mild start, salty middle, and a toasty/light lemon finish.

Our favorite non-Dom Champagne. Harder to find these days but worth it. Very smooth.

Creamy, almost butterscotch aromas are followed by a soft palate, but one where the flavors are fruit-driven, green plums and pears dominating. With some richness, it is more "wine" in character than sparkling wine. At the end, vanilla, toast and more fruit come through.

A fruity style, with berry, candied citrus and floral aromas and flavors. This seems a touch sweeter than its peers, but that may be the fruit. Has a delicate profile.

Impérial, the best-selling Champagne brand in the world, is now the nonvintage Moët brand in the United States, replacing White Star. However, the American blend is sweeter than Impérial elsewhere, and similar to White Star, emphasizing fruitiness, ripe pear and creamy apple flavors and a soft, easy finish.

Brut Rosé Imperial GV - Moët & Chandon: Brut Rosé Imperial GV - Champagner von Moët & ChandonWas wäre das Leben ohne dieses gewisse Extra? Ohne Versuchung? Ohne Glamour? Weingut: Moët & ChandonLand: FrankreichRegion: ChampagneRebsorte: 40-50% Pinot Noir, 30-40% Pinot Meunier, 10-20% ChardonnayInhalt: 0,75 l Champagner - Sekt - Prickelndes > Frankreich > Champagne
