Opened the day before. Deep reddish purple witht a rich intensity of color. The nose shows hints of charrcoal, backberry(with seeds!) and a light minerality. Big in the mouth with medium tannins, and medium acidity. There is a notable alcohol on the finish though it is not distracting. Flavor sof black fruits, pepper,and minerals follow through on the palate. I wish I had had this the day before, it seems the finish is a bit short and I'm not sure if this is due to it having been open or just the wine itself. Tasty little treat none the less. One of my first wine from this region and it makes me wonder what else is out there. 3.5/5 [NR]
