Pride Mountain Vineyards Sangiovese Sonoma County 2009
Winemaker's Notes:
Completing the circle, the 2009 Sangiovese is our first red wine to be released from the 2009 vintage, and was made from some of the first red grapes to be picked that year. 2009 is a vintage of balance – ripeness, acidity, tannins, elegance and varietal character are all in exceptional harmony. After aging in barrels for twelve months, the Sangiovese was blended with 15% Cabernet Sauvignon from our Rock Arch vineyard in order to add density and weight. Rich flavors of strawberry, dried cherry and graphite are packed into a concentrated, yet classic, Sangiovese.
