External Reviews for R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia Rosado

This rosado has a copper-orange color with gold at the rim and red at the core. The nose is a mesmerizing, ever-changing mosaic of orange, cinnamon, tobacco, and stones. On the palate it shows complex flavors of apricot, pomegranate, cinnamon, butterscotch, and cloves, then becomes delicate and ethereal on the finish.

This rosado has a copper-orange color with gold at the rim and red at the core. Mesmerizing, ever-changing nose of orange, cinnamon, tobacco, and stones. It shows complex flavors of apricot, pomegranate, cinnamon, butterscotch, and cloves; then becomes delicate and ethereal on the finish.

This truly unique rosado is created (as it always has been) from a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha and white Viura. Unlike most roses which are released young, this wine goes through an unusual 4-year aging process in oak before even more aging in bottle prior to release. The result is a unique, orange-hued wine with a mesmerizing sherry-like nose of almonds and hazlenuts, with dried apricots as well as surprising fresh berry flavors and sweet spice. Serve with a slight chill.
