Red Diamond Chardonnay Washington State 2009

Member Review by lolazaza:

Wonderful! A nice change from the fruit-forward cabs I've been trying. Dark garnet color. Nose is tobacco and leather. Some dark fruit, black cherry. Finish is toasty and warm-maybe a little oaky. A savory red. Not the most complex cab I've had, but for the price, really unique and good. I prefer more depth, earth, smoke, and spice. But this cab is a step in the right direction. I would buy this again. I think it would be a really good contrast to sweetish Indian dishes. *Next day* It looses some of the earthy depth and gets fruitier as it breathes. But it's still really good.
